MDT Technologies – Acquisition of Tapko and Apricum
MDT Group has acquired majority stakes in German KNX pioneer Tapko Technologies and Croatian manufacturer Apricum.
Tapko was founded in 1999 and was among the first adopters of the KNX standard.
Apricum was founded in 2001, with its first product being a KNX fan coil controller that became a successful bestseller.
This acquisition integrates the technical and production capabilities of three companies, making MDT Group one of the most comprehensive KNX manufacturers in the market.
Tapko managing directors Petar Tomic and Klaus Adler remain in their positions.
Olivera Tomic, founder of Apricum, continues as managing director of the Croatian company within the MDT Group.
MDT Group already operates the MDT brand (full KNX portfolio in actuators, sensors, and system components) and Tense (luxury KNX switches).
