TAPKO Technologies and its brand Apricum are showcasing their latest KNX solutions at Light + Building 2026 in Frankfurt (Hall 11.1, Stand D36).
Frankfurt, Germany – March 2026 – At Light + Building 2026, held from 8 to 13 March in Frankfurt am Main, TAPKO Technologies and its associated brand Apricum presented their latest KNX solutions in Hall 11.1, Stand D36.
A Touch Panel That Fits Right In
At the heart of this year’s showcase was the TAPKO Touch 55 – a modern KNX touch panel built in the classic 55 mm standard format. The compact device replaces conventional KNX push buttons and integrates seamlessly into existing switch programs, offering intuitive touch control through a high-resolution display. What sets it apart is that it requires no additional power supply, simplifying installation and reducing wiring overhead.
Presence Detection with a Minimalist Touch
Also on display was an ultra-flat KNX presence detector designed for ceiling installation. Its minimalist profile houses a 360-degree detection range, four PIR sensors, and KNX Secure support – combining discreet aesthetics with reliable performance.
Wall Switches Built for Modern Spaces
The portfolio was further complemented by an aluminium KNX wall switch. Its clean lines and premium material quality make it particularly suitable for modern interiors, hotels, and maritime applications, where both appearance and durability matter.
KNX for the Seas
Speaking of maritime environments, TAPKO’s m~ product line has been specifically developed for operation under extreme conditions. It offers high resistance to vibration, effective protection against moisture, and an above-average service life – backed by a warranty of more than five years.
System Technology: KAIstack Secure
In the field of system technology, TAPKO presented KAIstack Secure, a KNX-certified communication stack for TP, IP, and RF. It is optimized for energy-efficient and battery-powered KNX devices, making it a practical foundation for manufacturers building low-power KNX products. Complementing this, KAIstack Evaluation Boards enable rapid product development with high hardware flexibility and support for multiple KNX communication media.
Support for Manufacturers and OEM Partners
For manufacturers and OEM partners, TAPKO also offers preconfigured KNX system devices that can be individually customized and labelled, and supplied complete with ETS database entries, KNX registration, and technical support. The service portfolio is rounded off by the KNX-accredited TAPKO TestLab for interoperability and protocol testing.
Training and Certification
At its Split location, Apricum operates the Apricum Academy by TAPKO, providing certified KNX training courses – from Basic and Advanced courses to KNX Secure and IT integration.
