InterContinental Hotel Auckland × eelectron
The InterContinental Hotel Auckland deployed eelectron’s KNX solution to enable coordinated control of lighting, climate, and shading, automatically adjusting based on guest occupancy.
Interaction is via customizable capacitive push buttons and KNX thermostats, while occupancy sensors enable automatic activation and energy savings.
The infrastructure is built on eelectron’s F Series KNX actuators, KNX/DALI gateway, and IP interface, supporting centralized monitoring and remote control.
The project integrated third-party systems including access control, HVAC BMS, room booking, and housekeeping for real-time synchronization.
A comparable hospitality reference is the Mercure Hotel Timișoara, which utilized a customized 9025 bedside panel with fully customizable backlit capacitive buttons and a capacitive KNX thermostat with RGB feedback strip .
